[What started it all]
“T Minus” is the name of a fictional space agency for a motion design project. The entire branding was stylized after early 80’s era of design, based heavily around wireframe models.
This project was also my first hands-on experience with 3d workspaces, as well as the project that cemented my commitment to become a motion dsigner.
This was a “passion project” of mine, where it came from a place of genuine contempt towards the entire diamond market, and how it was built on manipulation and artificial demand. it was a huge learning opportunity, and an even bigger challenge to polish for a final version.
The storyboard, despite differing slightly from the final product, came from one stream of thought. creating it was what highlighted the importance of pre-production in motion design for me.
3D motion
One of my favourite games growing up was gran turismo for the psp console.
i used to play it plenty with my brother, who was much more of a racing fan than me, and was naturally better THAN ME. i never won a single race against him.
regardless, the game holds a special place in my heart, and i decided to show it some love for the good times it provided.
Thank you.
this piece is my first 3d animation. it is heavily inspired by the manga series “blame!”, in which humanity is insignificant in the scope of the cosmic horror of a city it created.
once residents and rulers, now vermin.
3d turned out to be the medium that i have found to be the strongest tool to bring my ideas to life.
